[edit] Jumana Emil Abboud was born in 1971 and is palestinian. Lives and works in Jerusalem. Jumana Emil Abboud uses different media, including drawing, video, performance and text to depict both memory, loss and resilience.She studied art at the Ontario College of Art (Toronto), and at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Jerusalem), where she attained her BFA.Selected exhibtions: "Streams of Story’" Tramway, Glasgow International, Glasgow, 2006; "Re-Considering Palestinian Art", The Antonio Pérez Foundation, Cuenca, Spain, 2006; “Belonging”, The Seventh International Sharjah Biennial, U.A.E, 2005; “Unscene”, Stephen Lawrence Gallery, London, 2004; “Shame”, Digital Art Center, Holon, 2004; “DisOrientation”, House of World Cultures, Berlin, 2003; “Something to Confuse a Thief in the Dark”, Forum Schlossplatz, Aarau, Switzerland, 2002.
